The SP20A Series is a pole-mounted surge protection solution designed to enhance both electrical protection and field visibility in outdoor lighting systems. Developed with high-activity environments such as tennis facilities in mind, the system integrates directly into the pole handhole cover and features a visible LED status indicator that allows maintenance personnel to quickly confirm whether the pole is energized—without opening the pole.

Super Durable Polyester powder coat finish is electrostatically applied. Standard colors available: Black, Bronze, US Green, and White. Custom RAL colors are available upon request.

The SP20A unit is supplied as a complete handhole cover assembly designed to replace the existing pole handhole cover. The surge protection device is securely housed within the handhole assembly using a dedicated mounting bracket. Available handhole sizes include 3.0” × 5.0” and 3.0” × 8.0”. Mounting hardware is provided.

The internal fused surge protector is a UL Recognized Component in the United States and Canada (UL1449). The device complies with IEC 61643‑11 and ANSI C136.2 standards and carries an IP65 ingress protection rating.
